DHS-1960 Reunion Archive

The DeVilbiss High School Class of 1960 Held its Forty-Year Reunion on
June 10, 2000--It Was A Spectacular Event, Worthy of the New Millenium!

Hi Dave & Fellow Classmates:

I was able to schedule a tour and walk through of DeVilbiss High School over a two day period during reunion weekend. Our contact person at DHS will be Bob Bolling, the facility operator. The dates and times are as follows:

   Friday 6/9/00 - 12 noon to 3 p.m.

   Saturday 6/10/00 - 12 noon to 2 p.m.

Mr. Bolling requests our classmates park in the old student parking lot on the North side of the school (opposite end of the school from where the faculty parked, which was near the football stadium). An addition has been erected onto the main building since we left, gang, so you might not recognize that part of the building. At any rate, it is called the "Skills Center", and there is a double door where we enter and meet Mr. Bolling. It is entirely possible that we can walk through on our own, but we will have to be guided by his instructions.

After the tour, we can all visit our favorite pizza places, or Rudy's Hot Dogs, Red Wells, and A & W Rootbeer.

This reunion is going to be soooooo cool!!

Go Tigers!!!

Hi Gang:

We have been in touch with our expert banjo player, Jim  VanDielen, and the five DeVilbiss High School Kingston Trio wannabes will be  performing at the reunion as originally scheduled.  May there be mercy on  your ears.

Ron

As new events are added to the reunion, they will be posted here. Use the above buttons to visit pages with more details.

  • Dave Rathke and Sue Steele Woolford are coordinating the Friday night hospitality room at the Wyndham Hotel, hoping to arrange a large room where we can get together.
  • There will be a wine and cheese cruise on Friday night on the Arawanna
  • Saturday night there will be Arawanna cruises from the Hotel to the Zoo dock and back. That will be a great way to get there! Steve Wexler will follow up with the Arawanna, to coordinate the number of trips.
  • There will be Sunday brunch in the hotel. If for any reason you could not make any of the Friday or Saturday night  festivities hopefully you could come to the brunch on Sunday morning
  • At least one elementary school class is planning to get together.

Please send your reservation forms as soon as possible! We need to know how many people to plan for!

As progress is made in the planning, updates will be posted on the Event Progress page. Be sure to check these pages occasionally so you don't miss anything. If you have a suggestion for an event, contact a member of the committee or contact the coordinator for the specific event.
