DHS-1960 Then and Now!

The DeVilbiss High School Class of 1960 Held its Forty-Year Reunion on
June 10, 2000--It Was A Spectacular Event, Worthy of the New Millenium!

A note to classmates who have not been back to DHS in a long time: Yes, that's an expressway right behind our old stadium!

Remember wallets stuffed with pictures? Someone saved theirs and shared it with us:

Remember Friday Nights at this place?

The West Toledo

Thanks to Doug Laumann for the snapshot.

Well, I don't actually have a "then" picture but classmates who no longer live in the area should try guess what this place used to be. Thanks to Doug Laumann for the snapshot. If you can't guess, click here!

DHS as it looked then:

DHS as it looks today:

The above snapshot was taken by Doug Laumann early in August of this year. The building itself hasn't changed much, unlike the old favorite hangout shown above. For those classmates who no longer live in the area, the construction material is for a sewer project that had Upton Ave. messed up just a bit. Click here to see another picture of DHS as it looks today, along with some comments from Ron Thompson and Steve Wexler after they recently walked those halls again. Check it out! See what their notes make you think of from forty years ago! The file is about 50kb.

Back then, we were all living within a few Postal Zones. (Zip Codes were not introduced until 1963.) Now we are spread over at least 33 States! About 240 of our classmates are living outside Ohio! Here is our class breakdown by State, as of January 22, 2000:
